The (book news!) Wrap-Up

Sorry I’ve been absent this week. I’ve had my nose so deep in Imaginable edits (all while trying to stay warm on these single digit days) that I’ve hardly done anything else. But I have some things I want to tell you.

1. First, I just have to say that I am totally falling in love with Imaginable, you guys, and I cannot WAIT to get it into your hands. I think I’m going to have to start posting teasers from it pretty soon (which I KNOW is a special kind of torture/pleasure…and that just makes it FUN).  SOON, my pretties, I’ll be torturing you. >:-) Who knows, maybe even next week…

2. I’m on the look out for book bloggers who are interested in being a part of the cover reveal for Imaginable. I’m trying to narrow down a date…sometime in February…so if you’re interested in doing the cover reveal, please shoot me an email at “j AT jmeyersbooks DOT com” so I can gather you all in one place and have your email addresses at the ready. (Also, do any of you know if there is a special day of the week for cover reveals? Like I know Tuesdays are when new books come out…is there a usual cover reveal day? I’ve been trying to figure this out and if you know, please tell me in the comments!)

3. I still have not narrowed down a date for Imaginable‘s release. I know, I know! I’m sorry. I wish I could tell you, but at this point, I’m just not sure how much more editing work needs to go into it and it has yet to get to my beta readers. I’m hoping for sometime in March (probably later in the month than sooner) but we may be looking at April. I wish it wasn’t taking so. darn. long…but I want it to be perfect for you guys. As perfect as I can make it. :-)

4. I will tell you a little secret, though. I’m already dreaming up ideas for the next book I write…which is not—gasp!—going to be in the Intangible series. (I will come back to it, I PROMISE, I just want to try something different first—either start a new series or write a stand-alone. But I swear there are at least 1 or 2 more books after Imaginable and I WILL write them.)

I’ve been reading (and LOVING) a whole pile of New Adult books lately, and I think I’m going to write a contemporary NA (and I’m REALLY excited about that!). I have these bright, shiny new ideas bouncing around in my mind that I have to keep jotting down and pushing away until I finish Imaginable. (Which is HARD because, well, you know, they’re BRIGHT and SHINY and NEW. But I’m sort of looking at the next book as being the reward I get after I polish up Imaginable all pretty.)
