Done. Just in time.
I’ll be back later in the week and I promise to be more verbose. But for now I’ve got a cake to make and some 3 year old birthday plannings to attend to. :-) And I’m going to steep in the bittersweetness of children who grow up way too fast.
Hope your week is starting out great!
Sooo incredibly cute!! Nicely done. I am sure she will love her!!
Thank you! I’m thoroughly impressed with myself—even made the (very simple) clothes. ;-) She’s so soft and cuddly, too. Can’t wait to give her to the birthday girl! (And I’m wishing I’d made these for my boys when they were little, too.)
You made the clothes too? Now I am even more impressed! I wish I was a little more domestic. *sigh* I try though, does that count at all? :P
I am sure she will treasure it always. :D
My skills are so limited when it comes to sewing, so I know *anyone* could have made these clothes. My parents bought some homemade Waldorf doll clothes as their birthday gift for Ebba and THOSE are definitely impressive! Fancier, by far, than what I did.
And YES! Trying absolutely counts. :-) I’m domestic in that I like to bake and make things, but I’m terrible at getting a well-rounded dinner on the table (or, some nights, *any* dinner on the table) and my house is a mess. Wish it weren’t so . . . ;-)
Oh, wow, the doll turned out so cute. Great job!
Thanks, Pamela! :D
love it! way to go :) so special for her, something that will be treasured I’m sure.
I certainly hope so. :-) I got the materials to make it a year and a half ago, but waited until she would be excited about playing with dolls to make it. She’s definitely ready for it!
You actually MADE that?! Wow, super impressed. That will be a keepsake!
I DID! :D I’m impressed too, but I have to say that it was a LOT easier than I imagined making a doll would be. I’m a total novice at sewing and I tend to make it up as I go along because I don’t know what I’m doing. And sewing patterns? It’s like they’re written in a whole other language that LOOKS exactly like English but is totally incomprehensible. :-)
Wow, that doll looks great! And you even made it yourself! I am sure she will be happy with it :)
Thanks, Lolita! I’m pretty sure she’s going to love it. (Yay!) :-)
