the remains of the day

What I’ve been up to . . .

(Funky piece of wood courtesy of Ebba, who found it outside and wanted to put it on my table.)

What have you been up to?

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Hey, thanks, Val! Glad you stopped by. I’m going to go check out your moment. :-)

It *is* fun. And a lot of work. It’s all good, though. The hard work, I believe, will pay off in many different ways. Already it is. :-)

    That is so many envelopes!

I know you got a shipment of your books but i wanted to let you in on a little trick that you may already know of.Another author used this when they sent me a book I won from their giveaway. They used Amazon.com. That way they could get free shipping, and Amazon did all the packing for them, lol. They gave away multiple copies of the book, so I’m guessing they just made it a gift order, and then input the individual recipients info from Goodreads. I don’t know if that is helpful at all but I figured I’d let you know. Happy Friday!

Thanks for the tip, Melissa! I actually don’t mind doing it myself. This way I get to send out signed books, write a little thank you on the packing slip, and draw flowers on the back of the envelope. :-) Oh, and infuse the whole book and package with good vibes. You know, those positive vibes can really make a big difference. ;-)

Oh, I’m sure getting a book via Amazon doesn’t necessarily feel impersonal—it’s still exciting to have a fresh new book in your mailbox and your hands. But I do like making connections with people and this is one great way to do that. I would actually hate to miss this chance. :-)
